Summer 1997

On Summer 1997 I had holiday in Finland. It was nice to have holiday in Finland for a while, so I could compare Finland with another countries in Europa as a turist. I traveled one week with VR's holiday pass, which costed for students only FIM 345.

Salo

First I visited Salo, city where Nokia made it first mobile phone in the early 1970es, then still with name Mobira. Even today Nokia makes a lot of mobile phones there.

Rovaniemi

Rovaniemi is on Artic Circle, about 800 km north of Helsinki.

In Arktikum I learned about nature and people above Artic Circle. You see only end of the building, because it is mostly under the earth.

Later, on August I visited Tallinn and Pärnu in Estonia.
