Tve4 is around the Finland used light shunting and freigth locomotive. Some of the locomotives are changed to Tka8 tractors. The motor is Scania DS 13 diesel engine, which has 401 hp. In Tve4 ligth locomotive the power is reduced to 290 hp. Tve4 has a speed of 75 km/h, which makes it possible to use it also in small line trains. So it is used in trip working. Lately this use has been reduced. Despite of quite big axle load of 17 tons, is the tractive effort of locomotive turned out to be bad, especially in winter conditions. Therefore use of Tve4 is concetrated to ligth shunting work near their maintenance depots.
