Dr13 is heavy passanger and freigth locomotive. First two locomotives were manufactured by Alhstom S.A in France in 1962, rest by Lokomo and Valmet with license agreement with Alsthom. Dr13 locomotives, which served VR well, gave way to electrification. Dr13 run last time in normal traffic on June 3th 2000. Finnish railway museum intends to keep its Dr13 numbered 2349 in running order. Haapamäki Vintage Train Society has number 2343.
